Mr. Wittes, if you would like to fight, let me know and I will start a GoFundMe campaign to fly you to Russia. You can enter in your own age group in a judo, sambo, or combat sambo masters tournament. Mr. Putin will not have you arrested, but will probably be snickering on the sidelines, watching as you tap very shortly after the match begins.
If you've had your awakening, then you can likely see right through the whole mess and are painfully aware of the fact that like most political careerists that market to the social justice vote, they are quite willing to overlook some forms of violence and hatred in order to pander to the half-baked and trendy ideologies that have not yet discovered their proper boundaries.
If #WalkAway is half as successful as it should be, all that will remain of the Left is Antifa, men in women's clothes attacking lesbians and feminists, and Maxine Waters, who recently foamed at the mouth while yelling that Conservatives should be attacked everywhere they go, even if they're just trying to get gas or groceries.
The Canadian city of Vancouver is a very tolerant and friendly city. Located within the city is Stanley Park. It's one of the most beautiful and frequently visited seaside parks in the world and has more than a thousand acres of forests and trails, and a paved seawall that makes up its perimeter. The Teahouse Restaurant is located within the park and is an excellent destination for tourists.
I don't personally care for Doug Ford; I find him uninteresting, inarticulate, unintelligent, and I don't see any sign of a principled or reliable moral compass in him. Yet he leaves me wondering, as do many politicians, if this is the best we have to put forward from our millions of citizens. Perhaps our best are uninterested, and that's a shame.
The CBC, CTV, Global News, CNN, BBC and their ilk have all done for journalism what Roman Polanski has done for the idea of celebrity daycare or what William Bruce Jenner has done for womanhood. The takeaway here is to avoid the mainstream media completely, because they are making journalism corrupt. If your news source has ads or receives government funding, then you are likely being told flat-out lies or are getting a version of events that is so watered down and distorted in order to be inoffensive and uncontroversial that it contains nothing of real value.
For those of you who don't know, a TERF is a "Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist." What this means, or is supposed to mean, is that if you are a female and do not accept the idea that a man can be a woman, in the true sense of the word, that you are an exclusionary radical. The term was apparently coined by the transgender movement and was designed to be used as a slur. This fight is becoming increasingly hostile - including violence - and I think that it's about time that public awareness of it increased. This is my purpose here and hopefully, dear reader, you will help in this.
I had not heard of Nathan J Robinson before he published his attention seeking article that he titled The Intellectual We Deserve as a political attack on Canadian author and psychologist, Professor Jordan Peterson. I quickly googled Robinson and found that he had attempted a similar smear against Ben Shapiro. I don't want to spend too much time on this, as both Peterson and Shapiro are completely capable of taking care of themselves. I would, however, like to point out a few intellectual deficiencies that Robinson should correct if he wishes to be taken seriously.
As you can see from the above policy components, anyone who expresses an opinion that any other person might disagree with has acted contrary to the policy. Professor Mehta's position that the free exchange of ideas is helpful in problem solving would cause someone who wanted only their own opinion to be heard, at the exclusion of all others, to be offended. The offended party would then only need to say that they "felt harassed" or 'felt marginalized" or "felt discriminated against" in order to successfully meet the threshold for a successful harassment complaint as described in the policy. This makes serious discussions on any topic impossible and makes the policy into a political weapon which can be used as a deterrent against the uttering of statements that are contrary to the current enforced group-think.
Trudeau's government is increasing the already heavily bloated funding to levels that are completely obscene. Hundreds of millions in tax dollars are being funnelled to an organization that refuses to provide quality fact-based journalism. The CBC has become nothing more than a tool for the Trudeau Liberals to pump dangerous and divisive identity politics into our culture. We are being forced to fund the destruction of our own society
My hope is that the Left actually does want a reduction in gun violence; although, I find the hypocrisy of the violence spewing Hollywood leftists slightly troubling in this regard. I would definitely like to see a reduction in gun violence and I know enough to know that the conditions have to be correct for it to take place. Maybe the Left doesn't actually want this. Maybe they like things they way they are. This would explain their seemingly bad faith negotiations on the subject.
Trudeau's long-time friend and senior political advisor to the Prime Minster, Gerald Butts, further betrayed Trudeau's comments, along with the general mindset of the Liberal Party of Canada, when he suggested that those mocking Trudeau's gaffe were "Nazis". Both statements reveal a serious moral deficit, as well as the calculating exploitation of a growing culture war, and this should be a warning to Canadians.
It also does not require much thought to realize that if you set about dividing your population along religious, ethnic, gender, class, and sexual orientation lines that divisions will continue within each of those groups. There are an infinite number of sub groups within each group and they will continue to divide further.
Our state-guided slide into far-left totalitarianism is coming along beautifully. The downtrodden and mediocre are successfully shouting down, elbowing aside, and bullying out of employment anyone who might get in the way of achieving the end goal, whatever it might be. They tell us it's all in the name of benevolence and so it must be good. Our state broadcaster - the CBC - is still completely behind the revolution and sends out daily blasts of morale-boosting virtue-signals that devoted followers are free to recycle and use for themselves. You have no idea how uplifting it can be for a resentful, empty-headed, and dreary personality to be able to proudly proclaim, "Diversity is our strength".
I cannot be the only one who spent decades carrying the false assumption that a PhD carried with it an earned air of authority and intellectual superiority. And, I cannot be the only one who now thinks that all that a PhD really suggests is that the possessor simply hung around school for way too long. The result of this extended loitering on the taxpayer's dime appears to be that the student is eventually transformed back into an infant, just at the point when they should be heading out into the world to contribute something of value to the economy. Now when I see the PhD designation attached to an article, or some far-left propaganda, I wonder two things: What kind of hysterical bullshit is about to follow? And, how much has this extended childhood cost the taxpayer?
In prosperous and peaceful times it might very well be possible to have a narcissistic man-child run your country for a short period of time and not cause too much damage. Or at least it could be possible if sufficient restraints were put into place. This seems to not be the case, though, and Trudeau's distain for the common people, common human instincts and common sense has reached a new low
In George Orwell's 1937 book, The Road to Wigan Pier, we are given a thorough and detailed account of the working and living conditions of coal miners in the North of England just before the Second World War. Orwell spent time underground with the miners and he correctly described the work as "savage". He wrote that if he were to attempt the job for a living, it would likely kill him within a few weeks. He might have been correct about this, as each man underground moved nearly two tons of coal per hour, by hand, with pick and shovel, while working in areas where it was impossible to stand up straight.
I was busy at work today - apparently not busy enough - and had a look at my Twitter feed. This was a mistake, as something severely disturbing immediately jumped out at me. The offending item was a photo of our celebrity Prime Minister, bawling hysterically, over the death of a single individual in his fifties who had brain cancer. It was roughly one hour later that I decided that I could not let this go and that I would have to write about it.
Readers of the above statement will likely fall into one of two categories: those who knew this all along, and those who will find the statement absurd. I am putting this argument out there for the latter category and hopefully it will be read with an open mind. If you are the type of person who does not have the ability to question their own beliefs, and prefer the comfort of an echo-chamber, then this piece is probably not for you. I will offer only one caveat on my position: Donald Trump will only turn out to be more dangerous in the short-term if he blunders his way into a nuclear war.
