Jonathon Kneeland was born in Canada in 1969. At age fourteen he left school and headed out into the world. Jonathon worked in various jobs consisting of construction and truck driving. He then wrote an entrance exam that allowed him to get into a technical college where, over the next decade, he acquired three separate trade certifications while working in those trades. Over the next three decades, Jonathon spent much time reading about history and politics, running his own business, playing guitar, acquiring a black-belt in judo, running, and hiking.
Jonathon currently has a blog, where he publishes various pieces on various topics. He has never been to university and has no formal training in writing. He is simply thinking in public from the perspective of a regular working person of the middle-class. Authors who have helped shape his thinking include: Christopher Hitchens, H.L. Mencken, Bertrand Russell, Sam Harris, George Orwell, Vladimir Nabokov, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, and Michael Shermer.
